Cretan Adventures (with name of business: Spinthakis Co) is a company incorporated in Greece with VAT registration number EL099928270, is licensed by the Greek National Tourism Organization under the registration number 1039E60000039701 and register office in 10 Evans street, Heraklion Crete, 71201 Greece.
This document outlines the terms of COOPERATION between us (Cretan Adventures) and you (The client).
Reservations and deposits:
In order to book your reservation for a trip with Cretan Adventures, you need to complete the booking form, accept our “Booking conditions and Terms” and make a deposit of 30% of the total price of the trip. The balance is due to 20 days before the departure of the trip.
Cancellations:
If you need to cancel your reservation, cancellation fees will be determined according to the date we received your written note by e-mail.

In case of big groups different terms may be applicable which will be clearly mentioned at the contract.
Cretan Adventures reserves the right to alter or cancel a trip prior to its commencing due to security reasons (natural disasters, inappropriate weather conditions, strikes, delays, etc). In such case we shall either refund your money in full or if you prefer, transfer it to another trip. We will not offer any other compensation.
However, Cretan Adventures is not responsible for additional expenses incurred by you in preparing for the trip (e.g., non-refundable air tickets, visa fees if applicable, gear or medical expenses)
Refunds: Cretan Adventures does not give any refunds for unused hotel rooms, meals, sightseeing trips or trek arrangements. Land cost is quoted as a package: credits are not given for services not used.
Itinerary Changes: Cretan Adventures reserves the right to alter the itinerary of any trip for numerous reasons beyond our control (harsh weather, trail conditions, schedule changes etc), if in our opinion, such an action becomes necessary, to ensure the safety and the wellbeing of the group. The final trip selection is left up to Cretan Adventures and any additional cost will charge the participant.
Cretan Adventures does not accept any responsibility for services provided by air, rail, road or shipping companies, which are part of the trip.
Traveler Responsibility:
Cretan Adventures excursions, events and activities are open to everyone. Everyone can participate, providing of good physical and mental health, fitness and willingness to co-operate with the rest of participants and follow the guide’s instructions. Despite, the compliance with the regulations, the use of appropriate equipment, and the use of the safest routes, outdoor activities always involve a certain risk. Therefore participation in Cretan Adventures events/ activities implies the acceptance of such risk. Cretan Adventures, as the organizing company, is obliged to provide the appropriate equipment, specialized guides-trainers and safe routes. The company is responsible only for the above.
The client acknowledges that the nature of the tour is adventurous and that such holidays may involve a significant amount of personal risk. Such risks include injury, disease, loss or damage to property, discomfort and inconvenience.
Insurance:
Everyone participating in any of Cretan Adventures events/activities is covered by Third party insurance through Ethniki Asfalistiki.
Before joining a program (excursion/activity) or a trip, we strongly recommend you review your personal insurance and health insurance to ensure you have coverage appropriate to meet your needs, and the needs of your family and dependents, in case of any loss of property or illness, injury or death.
Cretan Adventures is not responsible for any accidents or mishaps directly or indirectly related to the tour.
Photography and νideo:
During the program, participants may be photographed, and video recorded. All material is used by Cretan Adventures for its promotional activities (brochures, website, advertisements etc). In case you do not wish to show up to our promotional material you should send us a written declaration.
